February 27 Meeting

Orange County Preschool Planning Collaborative

The kick-off meeting for the Orange County Preschool Planning Collaborative took place on February 27, 2007.  We were delighted to be able to tap into the expertise and enthusiasm of nearly 150 participants!

There were three global themes that emerged from the morning session - the power of collaboration, the importance of quality preschool programs for school readiness, and the belief that Orange County has the capacity to do something great for children and families.

The work group sessions that took place in the afternoon provided an opportunity for participants to engage in thought-provoking discussions which led to the development of vision statements and the identification of initial priorities for their work.
